Paul Pogba denies quitting national team over President Macron’s comments

Paul Pogba has branded reports that he has left the France national team as ‘fake news’ as the Manchester United further stated that such report is unacceptable.

UK outlet The Sun earlier reported that the 27-year-old is unhappy with the comments of French President Emmanuel Macron suggesting Islam was the source of international terrorism.

In a swift, Pogba took to his Instagram Story with "Unacceptable: Fake News" stamped over the top of the news headline.

The former Juventus star was quick to debunk such rumours saying the report has no basis as he looks forward to be selected for the 2021 European Championship and into the future.
