Nigerian media personality and fashionista, Noble Igwe, took to social media soon after the unfortunate incident at the Lekki Tollgate happened on October 20, 2020.
Noble reminded people of comedians who were fond of giving politicians front row seats at their shows. He said that people would never forget.
“Tomorrow, comedians will do comedy shows and then give them tables to sit directly opposite the stage. We will never forget.”

Popular comedian, AY Makun, then used the opportunity to tell people that he was at the Lekki Tollgate just before the shootout happened.
The comedian who shared a video of himself talking to the peaceful protesters at the tollgate continued that Noble was at home tweeting while things went down.
AY said that it was not the time to discuss the baseless tweet and that he would later school him as a friend on the principles of buying and selling.

Nigerians on social media waded into the issue as they took sides with the two celebrities. A number of people seemed to agree with Noble.

Noble Igwe is right on this! You can’t serve two masters at a time! Pick a side! AY!!!
But NOBLE IGWE DID NOT STUTTER!!! He said what he said!!!!!
AY is shady AF his conscience will not let him breath him. He’s been going back and forth about the table issue and trying to justify. We understand you bro. Just rest abeg.
Gucci never asked Hush his source of income... that one enter Abeg.
Mr Noble, it's tweeted not twitted sha. I think I stand with AY. Should he reject them when they buy tables for his show? It's not like he is collecting bribe or something. As far as he can still stand against the politicians when necessary, it's fine.
