Media personality Toke Makinwa has taken to her social media page to react to the president's address to the citizens on Thursday, October 22.

Just like many, Toke complained that the president did not talk about key issues especially as it pertained to what has been happening in the country in the last few weeks.

Noting that the events of the past few weeks might have been difficult for many Nigerians, she urged her fans and followers to remain strong and do what will make them happy.

"The last 2 weeks have been a lot for my country Nigeria and I, we’ve been through irreplaceable loss of lives, hopes, dreams have been cut short, businesses ruined and unimaginable pain felt. Last night, the worst address from our commander in chief was one of the hardest things to watch.
"I woke up this morning feeling confused and I decided to remind myself of who I am, what I have been able to create for myself even in a system that’s designed to make me fail, and that spirit that is indestructible. The true Nigerian spirit. Bruised but not broken, crushed but not defeated, I know we all feel lost now, take a day or two off, look at all you’ve survived and try to find that strength to push through.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Toke reacted after a lady criticised her for wearing a designer outfit to the EndSARS protest.

A lady called Nneka stated that Toke and her group of friends attended the protest to snap photos, show off designer outfits, make snaps with red cups, and then went back home.

Toke responded to Nneka's tweet, stating that God would punish her. According to her, she does not owe anybody anything but she noted that she resumed at the protest in the morning and walked from the toll gate to Onikan.
