Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has excluded the duo of Phil Jones and Sergio Romero from the 25-man squad for this Premier League season.
Both players appear to be surplus to requirement and were told to look for other clubs but failed to secure moves away from Old Trafford.
It would be recalled that the players were also left out of the club's Champions League squad despite their experiences at the club.
