Although the day is meant to unite people, it becomes a burden when people make it a money-making event.

One bride has since gone viral after she took to social media to convince her friends and family to fund her special day.

According to the post, the bride wants a huge amount of money that will enable her and her husband tour Europe for a one month honeymoon.

According to the post, the couple will be tying the knot in December and the bride hoped the guests will not change their mind due to coronavirus for they need their money. The post read:

"Hope you all are doing great and getting all of you all wedding gifts (haha) prepare your cold hard cash and your large housewarming gifts…We really cannot wait to see you all (and receive your gifts LOL) this December."

The bride advised her friends against pulling out due to COVID-19 saying they have a monetary goal of N7.7 million ($20,000) minimum.

"This is dangerous because we have a $20,000 + monetary goal MINIMUM. Ladies and gentleman most of this money will cover the cost of this amazing wedding and goes right back to you. This is for YOU. Think of all the food, drinks and fun you will have.
"Heaven forbid if you'll generous we will actually get to book out European tour. Ideally, you will donate upwards of $30,000 so [fiancé] and I can spend a month travelling, bar hopping, swinging and more in Europe."
