Mesut Ozil is set to be left out of the Arsenal squad that will prosecute this seasons Premier League despite the German playmaker earning a mammoth £350,000-a-week.
Latest reports by Dailymail claim that the 32-year-old is set for more misery at the Emirates outfit.
Ozil has not made a single appearance for the Gunners this season having fell out of favour under manager Mikel Arteta as he has failed to impress the tactician.
Arsenal are expected to submit a list of their players that will feature in the Premier League this season on Tuesday, October 20, and reports say Ozil and centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos will likely have their names omitted.
This will delve a massive blow on the player who is hoping to return to the squad having been left out since March.
The Gunners are left with no choice than to let go of two non-homegrown players from the Premier League squad and indications are that Ozil might be affected.
Arsenal failed to sell some of their ‘unwanted’ stars during the transfer window and with the addition of Thomas Partey, the number of non-homegrown players at the club now reaches 19.
Ozil, who has 254 appearances for Arsenal, hasn't played for the club since before the Premier League restart in March and his current deal expires next summer.
