Neymar leaks Richarlison’s phone number causing 10,000 WhatsApp messages full of abuses

Neymar mistakenly posted a clip showing Richarlison’s phone number hours after the Everton star was shown a red card during their 2-2 draw with Liverpool at the Merseyside Derby.

Richarlison was sent off during the game for a hard tackle on Thiago Alcantara, an act that left Liverpool fans furious with some going further to threaten the player.

Moments after the game, Brazilian star Neymar was seen in a clip holding up his phone to call the his Everton friend about the incident, but the PSG star failed to spot that Richarlison’s number was visible.

Neymar said during the conversation: “What happened yesterday? That was a real flying tackle. I think I’ve just shown your number without meaning to. I swear it was an accident.”

Getting the Everton forward to say ‘hello’ to fans as his number started to go viral, he added: “We’re online. "Give a wave. You’re going to have to change your number now.”

Richarlison responded: “Hey guys, whoever calls me is going to be blocked, don’t call me. In five minutes I’ve already had 10,000 messages. Thanks Neymar.”

Meanwhile, Jordan Pickford will not be punished following the incident that saw Virgil van Dijk damage his cruciate ligament during the epic clash.

The English FA has stated that there won’t be further review of the incident as it has been determined following a consultation with the match officials.

The Liverpool defender and the Everton goalkeeper were caught in the web clashing in the danger area during the first half of the game as Van Dijk was forced off.

As the player was being treated, the VAR noted it was checking for a 'possible penalty'. In the end, it could not have been a penalty because Van Dijk was offside.
