Nollywood actress Stella Damasus defends singer Banky W against detractors

- The actress said that the singer stood alone during his political campaign to try and change the country and that fans did not donate to his cause

Veteran Nigerian actress, Stella Damasus, recently took to social media via her Twitter page to defend her colleague in the entertainment industry, Banky W.

The film star was reacting to claims that the singer was not a good representative for the youths because he was a politician.

Stella strongly disagreed with their opinion and spoke on how they should dare not discredit Banky. She asked where the youths were when he came out against all odds to make Nigeria a better place.

The actress asked youths if they donated a dime to his campaign or if they went on rallies with him under the hot sun. She then asked them why they didn’t also run for office.

She wrote:

"Don't you dare try to discredit @BankyW o. I no go gree dat one. Where were you when he came out against all odds to try and make Naija a better place? Did you donate 1 naira to his campaign? Did you go to the rallies under the hot sun with him? Why u sef no go try run 4 office?"

A fellow Twitter user took to the comment section to disagree with the actress. He wrote that the actress should 'try get sense' because the issue at hand was a protest and not a campaign.

Stella made sure to give the troll a piece of her mind. She said she would not engage with him because she had noticed his lack of sense.
