Zinedine Zidane has been accused of poor handling of former Real Madrid star James Rodriguez after the player’s flying start at Premier League club Everton, SunSport reports.
The Colombian star signed a two-year deal with the option to extend his contract at Goodison Park for a further year.
The 29-year-old played with Los Blancos in the last six seasons since winning the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup, but moved to England during the summer transfer window.
He managed to play 14 times for Zinedine Zidane's side last season and scored one goal, but he was assured of first team football under Ancelotti.
The forward has kick-started his Everton career on a high netting three times in his first five games to help the Toffees to the top of the Premier League so far.
His form has angered Real Madrid chiefs and they have directed their annoyance at Zinedine Zidane for allowing the player leave.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the club’s hierarchy feel disappointed towards the manager over the way he handled the South American.
Recall that Real Madrid were also stunned right at home by Cadiz as the reigning La Liga champions drop points to the newly promoted side.
It's the first time in their history that Real will lose to the team as Zinedine Zidane's men were stunned right in their backyard.
The only goal of the game came in the 16th minute when Anthony Lozano found the back of the net to hand the visitors all precious three points.
And Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United target Luis Gomes has been hailed 'the next Luis Figo' as his style of play has drawn comparisons with the legendary football icon, according to reports from UK outlet Mirror.
The 16-year-old wonderkid could be moving to the Old Trafford as the Red Devils are preparing a bid for him despite him signing his first professional contract in October.
Gomes recently signed a 5-year-deal with Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, however it is claimed that United are already to snap-up the player having agreed a first-refusal option should Lisbon decide to sell.
