Kidnappers of 4 siblings reduce ransom to N10m, victims' father cries for help

- Kidnappers who abducted four siblings in Kaduna state have reduced the ransom to N10m

- They earlier asked the family of the victims to pay N100 million but slashed it down by 90%

- The father of the victims says there is no means of raising the money the kidnappers are requesting for

Four siblings were kidnapped in Barakallahu community in Igabi local government area of Kaduna state and their abductors earlier requested for N100m ransom but have now reduced it to N10 million.

Recall that the four siblings were kidnapped alongside their mother but the latter was released after the abductors heard her reciting non-stop “La illa ha ill llah”.

The father of the children, Abdulsalam Haruna, said the family has been negotiating with the kidnappers.

He, however, said he has no means to raise the money the kidnappers are asking for even though it has been reduced to N10 million, Daily Trust reports.

He said:

“We have been negotiating with them and they finally reduced it to N10m, but even though they have reduced it, I have no means to raise that money and nobody has come to our aid.
“My children are alive because I just spoke with them not long ago. I am pleading with the general public to help me save my children from the hands of their abductors.”

In other news, Nigerians have been urged to expect an increase in crimes such as armed robbery, kidnapping and banditry.

The call was made by security expert, Dr. Ona Ekhomu, while speaking on the EndSARS protest and the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) by the federal government.

According to him, the criminals are now aware that SARS has been scrapped and they will now exploit it.
