- Reports say Griezmann is considering an exit from the Spanish club
Antoine Griezmann is reportedly planning to leave Catalan club Barcelona as he is said to be unhappy with team captain Lionel Messi.
The 29-year-old who is finding life difficult at the club joined the Spanish giants from rivals Atletico Madrid in July 2019 for a staggering transfer fee of €120 million.
He was out of favour under former team managers Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien, and, despite that new boss Ronald Koeman promised to help him improve, he continues to struggle.
Griezmann was on the score sheet for France during the just ended international break and he took a swipe at Koeman when he stated that Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps knows where to play him.
Spanish digital newspaper OK Diario, cited in Soccer Laduma are now claiming that so far, Griezmann is still finding life difficult with Messi as he feels the Argentine has not treated him well.
The report further states that French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain could bid for the striker and Griezmann could take advantage to return home since he is not happy in Spain.
Griezmann has contributed to 19 goals in 51 matches for the Blaugrana since his arrival in Barcelona.
Only recently, Messi was fingered in another rancour within the Barcelona squad with reports claiming teenage sensation Ansu Fati may be considering an exit at the club.
Everything Barca citing Diario GOL claim that the Argentine is doing everything to frustrate the 17-year-old out of the club for parting ways with his agent Rodrigo Messi who is the club legend’s brother.
Ansu Fati had been managed by Messi’s brother Rodrigo, but the player recently ended their contract to join forces with renowned football agent Jorge Mendes.
Further allegation claim that that Messi wants new manager Ronald Koeman to field the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann over Ansu Fati to ensure the youngster’s career is frustrated.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Kylian Mbappe is now being chased by two of the biggest clubs in Spain as Barcelona join Real Madrid for the signature of the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
