Kylian Mbappe is now being chased by two of the biggest club in Spain as Barcelona join Real Madrid for the signature of the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
La Blaugrana President Florentino Perez has confirmed the club are also interested in signing the World Cup winner.
However, Los Blancos have been linked to the 20-year-old in the past months and are highly favoured to land Mbappe due to the influence of manager Zinedine Zidane.
But Barcelona president believes the deal for the youngster will be strategic if no mistakes are made in the process.

The embattled Camp Nou boss believes the key to hiring lies in Doha, not Paris which gives them the advantage over their fiercest rivals.
Mbappe has less than two years left in his contract at Parc des Princes and the oil-rich club are yet to offer him a new five-year mega-deal worth $150million.
Barca presidential candidate Victor Font is also looking to boost his chances at the election using Mbappe to sell his campaign for the hot seat in Catalonia.
It is understood that Font has made contact with the French club and has been given assurances about the player.
But he will have to battle with Zidane's influence on the youngster who has been Mbappe's hero since he was 13 and once had trials at Madrid before returning to Paris.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for Italian League giants Juventus.
The Serie A champions are said to be plotting to make a world-record fee of about £360 million for the 2018 World Cup winner.
Sources claim they will include six-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo in the deal to sign the Frenchman as reported by The Mirror.
