Fans of popular Nigerian musician Wizkid will not be thrilled as he has decided to push back his album release date from October 15, 2020.
In a post which he shared on his Instagram story, he said that the decision was due to the recent happenings in the country.
He also said that it didn’t feel right to release the album at such a sensitive time and apologised to any fan that he has let down with the decision.
The singer said:
"Due to the current situation in Nigeria and everything that is happening, I've made a conscious decision to push back my album. My sincere apologies to any fans I have let down. I just don't feel like it's right for me to release at such a sensitive time."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Wizkid expressed satisfaction over the disbandment of SARS. He advised Nigerians to shun anyone who said that they did not have a voice. The Joro crooner made the statement during the anti-SARS protest in London where he addressed Nigerians.
Reacting to the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), he said Nigerian youths have a voice and that the country deserved a good government.
“As I speak to you right now, on my way here, the IGP in Nigeria has disbanded SARS. So Nigerian youths, don’t let anyone tell you you don’t have a voice. You all have a voice, and Nigerians deserve good government. Right now, I want to say thank you to everyone for coming out today. We have achieved our goal and this is just the beginning. Thank you so much for coming out. We won. Now let’s go home.”
