Thomas Partey joined Premier League giants Arsenal on the summer transfer deadline day from Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
The Ghanaian international caught the attention of Gunners' chiefs who were impressed with his style of play in the midfield.
Partey featured in 35 games last season for Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga and scored three goals which helped the club finish on third position.
He was welcomed at by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for the first time on Arsenal’s official channels.
The £45million signing Partey was seen in a footage when he arrived at the Emirates’ training ground filmed arriving at the club’s training ground, and was greeted by club captain Aubameyang and strike partner Lacazette.
He also met with club legend Ian Wright who took time to share some words of advice for the player.
Wright said as quoted by Mirror:
“I can’t touch my guy! Be yourself man because I know how busy you are.
“Take it easy. Go do your stuff. Good to see you my friend. It’s Partey time baby!”
Meanwhile, Jorginho is set to have his contract with Chelsea extended after the Italian snubbed a chance to move to Premier League rivals Arsenal during the summer.
The 28-year-old who was heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates’ club snubbed Arsenal interest in his bid to remain with West London club.
It was gathered that the Blues are already preparing to hand him a new contract with AreaNapoli reporting that the player is preparing to have his contract updated.
Jorginho’s current contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit is worth £110,000 per week and expires in 2023.
The Italian arrived the Premier League club in 2018 for £57.4million after he rejected Manchester City at the last minute and he has gone on to score 12 goals in 102 appearances for the Blues.
