Some youths have made their stand in the ongoing protest against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The youths in a rally at the Unity Fountain, Abuja, declared their support for the police and other security agencies.

They also condemned the continuation of the #ENDSARS protests across the states.

Going further, the youths who claimed to be operating under the auspices of Coalition of Civil Society organisations also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammed Adamu for disbandment of SARS.

According to the chief convener of the Coalition, Comrade Olayemi Success, the actions of the protesters as totally uncalled-for and unacceptable.

He said the protest was ill-conceived from the inception stage because the usefulness of the police units outweighed their few mistakes.

He said leaders of different Civil society organizations are therefore staging solidarity rally in support of Nigeria's security agencies.

They also praised the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for displaying high level of professionalism in disbanding the SARS.

Going further, they also commended the IGP whom they described as the world's best Inspector General of Police for creating Special weapons and tactics team.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that a Coalition of Civil Society Groups in the North, has called on the federal government to use similar energy and responsiveness used in ending SARS to end insecurity in the Northern part of the country.

The coalition also said those still protesting over SARS should end the protests, as government has met their demands.

It said instead of continuing with the protest, they should join the struggle of Northern groups to end insecurity in the region.

The group stated this during a press briefing held at Arewa House in Kaduna.
