Gerard Deulofeu believes Ronaldinho is the greatest footballer ever ahead of his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi, Daily Mail reports.

The Udinese midfielder shared the same dressing room with Messi a few seasons back, described the Brazilian legend as an incredible person.

The Spain international who is currently on loan to Serie A from Championship side Watford, still believes he is the 2002 World Cup winner holds the aces.

Deulofeu told Spanish news media outlet Marca:

"For me Ronaldinho is the best player ever.
"I met him. I went to watch a game at the Camp Nou and he was sitting next to me. It was a wonderful experience."

Ronaldinho spent five seasons at the Camp Nou and won La Liga titles as well as the Champions League scoring 91 goals in 207 appearances.

On the other hand, Messi is La Liga's all-time top scorer and Barcelona's leading scorer in history with 635 goals in 734 matches.

Deulofeu who graduated from Barcelona academy enjoyed loan spells with Everton, Sevilla and AC Milan before finally signing a permanent deal with Watford in 2018.

The 26-year-old last kicked the ball against Liverpool since February, where he suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

He managed to secure a loan move to Udinese and confessed that he has missed a lot following his lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Sergio Aguero has jokingly tagged his relationship status with his long time pal Lionel Messi as 'old married couples' when they are being paired together while on international duty, Goal.

Aguero and Messi broke into the senior national team together since 2006 and have won U20 and Olympic tournaments with different setups.

But Aguero claims sharing a room with the Barcelona star has made their relationship unique in the last 15 years.
