The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has reportedly handed its forthcoming governorship ticket to former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
The Nation reports that a chieftain of the party who disclosed this said APGA decided to give the ticket to Soludo they believed he is the only person who can win the election for them.
According to him, the powers to be in the state have given him permission to contest the election on the platform of APGA.
The source also said the obstacle Soludo was facing in the hands of one of most powerful persons in the state had been cleared and the person had given the nod for him to sail with the party.

He added that some people have started working underground for Soludo to carry the APGA flag.
Recall that Legit.ng had reported that the anointed governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Professor Charles Soludo, is on the verge of losing his party ticket.
According to the report, some influential party stakeholders in the state have decided to hand over the ticket of the party to a member of the Anambra state executive council who joined the government recently.
The stakeholders were said to have described Soludo as a hardliner that is so independent-minded and will not be loyal to the party leadership.
Meanwhile, a recent media report claimed that 10 billionaires are preparing to contest the Anambra 2021 governorship election.
According to the report, prominent among the billionaires are those that contested the governorship in 2013, including Andy Uba, Tony Nwoye, Ifeanyi Ubah, and Godwin Ezeemo.
Others are Chief Osita Chidoka, Professor Soludo, Senator Uche Ekwunife, George Moghalu, Chief Stanley Uzochukwu and Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu.
