Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar Jr is now Brazil's second-highest goals scorer with 64 goals after 103 appearances.

The 28-year-old scored a hat-trick in the Selecao's 4-2 triumph over Peru in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Estadio Nacional.

His three goals helped him overtake Ronaldo Nazario's 62 goals in 98 games across all competitions for the five-time world champions.

Legendary Pele is the only player who has more goals (77) than the former Barcelona winger as reported by Goal.com.

Meanwhile, former Brazilian goalkeeper Taffarel is confident that Neymar could help the South American country win their sixth World Cup title.

The legendary keeper also claims Neymar would have been named FIFA's The Best award had PSG beaten Bayern Munich to win the Champions League final last season. Taffarel told the official FIFA website:
