Football fans around the world have taken to social media to wish Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo quick recovery after testing positive for deadly Coronavirus.
The Portuguese Football Federation on Tuesday evening, October 13, confirmed the latest development about the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
It came days after Cristiano Ronaldo played against World Champions France in an international friendly game in which the former Manchester United was impressive.
With this latest news of Cristiano Ronaldo contracting Coronavirus, the Portuguese will miss his nation's next game against Sweden as he is expected to go into isolation.
Portuguese Football Federation stated below.
"Cristiano Ronaldo was released from training with the national team after a positive test for Covid-19, so he will not face Sweden.''
The news came as a touching one for football fans who have wished the Portuguese fast recovery on isolation.
As it it now, Cristiano Ronaldo is also expected to miss Juventus' next League game away at Crotone as the Old Lady are currently occupying 8th position on the table.
