Didier Dechamps is delighted to maintain France’ record against Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese striker failed to score against his side during their UEFA Nations League clash.
The match which ended 0-0 will make it five times Ronaldo has played against France and he failed to score on each occasion.
Ronaldo managed just three shots in the entire 90 minutes and Le Blues manager says not much was seen with the player as his side matched him properly.
Deschamps told M6 post-match and cited in GOAL.
"We can always do better, then there is the quality of the opponent too. They take precautions like us, with respect to the players opposite like Cristiano, who we didn't see too much tonight.
"I knew Portugal were a great team, we saw that tonight. It's better when there are goals, but hey there is quality and not just offence.
"A solid game, fairly tactical, I think we were better in the second half."
However, the social media space was sent agog after Ronaldo and Mbappe were seen having a very warm discussion at half-time of the game as they smiled while they gist.
