- Shola Shoretire is a Nigerian forward currently playing for Man United youth team
- The 16-year-old has been rated as a player who can be the next Jadon Sancho for United
- United chiefs are also said to be planning to promote Shola to the first team in future
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly planning to promote Nigerian-born forward Shola Shoretire to the first team in the coming term considering his performances.
The 16-year-old forward is currently playing for Manchester United Under 18-team and has been superb with his amazing dribbling styles and goal-scoring sense.
According to the report on Givemesport citing UK Sun, people around Manchester United are convinced that Shola Shoretire has the potential to be the next Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United tried all they could to sign Jadon Sancho before the end of the transfer window, but his club Borussia Dortmund refused to do any business with the Red Devils.
Dortmund chiefs were actually asking for the sum of £108m for them to allow the Englishman leave, but Manchester United were not ready to pay such amount.
United went on to sign Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani on the last day of the transfer and he is expected to be leading Manchester United attack alongside Anthony Martial.
The report added that Neil Ryan who is the coach of Manchester United Under 18-side rated Shola Shoretire as one of his best players.
"Good players can enjoy the big stage. Shoretire is a really exciting player.
"He's evolving and developing, can play a number of different positions, he showed a great maturity I thought."
Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay both graduated to Manchester United first team from the academy and Shoretire is expected to follow in the footsteps.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently occupying 16th position on the Premier League table and they will face Newcastle United in next game.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United are reportedly prepared to show Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the exit door should the club's poor form continue.
United have registered just one win since the turn of the new season leaving them languishing in 14th on the table standings.
The victory came in a 3-2 controversial result against Brighton a fortnight ago in a match the Red Devils were awarded a penalty after the full-time whistle.
The side has played three matches, with two others against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur ending in defeats. It was their 6-1 loss against Spurs that evidenced United's glaring poor form that could see them struggle to compete effectively in the league.
