Earlier, had reported how Manchester United are reportedly prepared to show Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the exit door should the club's poor form continue.

United have registered just one win since the turn of the new season leaving them languishing in 14th on the table standings.

The victory came in a 3-2 controversial result against Brighton a fortnight ago in a match the Red Devils were awarded a penalty after the full-time whistle.

The side has played three matches, with two others against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur ending in defeats. It was their 6-1 loss against Spurs that evidenced United's glaring poor form that could see them struggle to compete effectively in the league.
