Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa are expected to lead the Super Eagles' attack in their friendly encounter against Tunisia which will be played on Tuesday night, October 13.
Nigeria who are three-time African champions will go into this encounter with the hope of getting their first win of the year under coach Gernot Rohr.
The Super Eagles have not been able to play any game this year due to the disturbance of Coronavirus before they faced African champions Algeria on October 9.
Gernot Rohr and his wards suffered a 1-0 defeat against Algeria with Paul Onuacho blamed for missing many scoring chances in the match.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Gernot Rohr is now ready to make little changes to his squad by starting the duo of Kelechi Ihenacho and Ahmed Musa up front.
These two stars did not start against Algeria in Super Eagles 1-0 defeat and Gernot Rohr wants them to start against Tunisia in attempt to win the tie.
Also set to return to the Eagles starting line-up against Tunisia is Leganes defender, Kenneth Omeruo as William Troost-Ekong will be missing the encounter.
Last term when Nigeria and Tunisia met, the Super Eagles recorded a 1-0 win over the North Africans which was the third place tie at AFCON 2019.
Tunisia were however in superb form in their last match beating Sudan 3-0 in an international friendly game.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will now have to make some little changes in his starting team against Tunisia as the duo of Troost-Ekong and Kalu will miss the international friendly tie.
Troost-Ekong who recently joined Championship side Watford has been one of the regular players for Gernot Rohr in the Super Eagles considering his performances so far.
The 27-year-old defender played for the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and also represented Nigeria at the 2019 AFCON, winning a bronze medal.
William Troost-Ekong and Kalu both played for Super Eagles in their 1-0 loss against African champions Algeria last week Friday, October 9.
