Both players missed out on their humiliating 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa at the Villa Park just before the FIFA break.

They have now handed the Reds a huge boost after rejoining the rest of their colleagues at the Melwood training complex.

Reports claim that any football star who is infected with COVID-19 must undergo a ten-day isolation period and test negative twice before returning to action according to government guidelines.

Jurgen Klopp could start the two players in this weekend's Merseyside derby as they look to return to winning ways.

The publication further disclosed that the former Bayern Munich star is likely to make the starting XI as Naby Keita will not be a part of the game due to coronavirus.

He also tested positive for the deadly virus earlier this week and will equally undergo the 10 days isolation period.

Keita contracted the virus alongside a few other Guinea national team stars before their friendlies against Cape Verde and Gambia in Portugal.

Daily Mail claims the 25-year-old midfielder is awaiting the result of the second test, and if it turns out positive, he will be out of the Merseyside derby and almost certainly the Champions League tie with Ajax.
