Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has insisted that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s reelection is a testimony of people’s belief in the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the country.

The governor said this after he arrived Lagos from Ondo state, where he served as the party’s campaign chairman.

According to him, the success of his task in Ondo state was a promise fulfilled to his political party.

Going further, he insisted that the APC candidate in the election deserved the victory, having achieved most of his campaign promises in the first term.

In fact, the governor was endorsed on Tuesday, October 6, by the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi.

During his hosting of the governor at the palace, Oba Aladelusi described Akeredolu as a governor who surprised him by fulfilling his campaign promises to the people of the kingdom.

Aladelusi also referred to the Ondo governor as a man of truth, sincerity and integrity who performed well in the state despite the fact that he inherited huge debt during his first administration. He, therefore, called the governor Mr Talk and Do.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Dr Kayode Ajulo, a constitutional lawyer, said all major parties in the just concluded Ondo state governorship election were guilty of vote-buying.

Ajulo who was also a former general secretary of the Labour Party (LP) disclosed this in a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday, October 11.

According to him, the major political parties were all involved in influencing voters for the election, using money.
