Wizkid expresses satisfaction over disbandment of SARS, says Nigerian youths have a voice

Award-winning Nigerian artiste Wizkid has advised Nigerians to shun anyone who says they do not have a voice.

The Joro crooner made the statement during the EndSARS protest in London where he addressed Nigerians.

Reacting to the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Wizkid said Nigerian youths have a voice and that the country deserves a good government.

He said:

“As I speak to you right now, on my way here, the IGP in Nigeria has disbanded SARS. So Nigerian youths, don’t let anyone tell you you don’t have a voice. You all have a voice, and Nigerians deserve good government. Right now, I want to say thank you to everyone for coming out today. We have achieved our goal and this is just the beginning. Thank you so much for coming out. We won. Now let’s go home.”

In a similar news, Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Centre has condemned firing of teargas at EndSARS protesters by the police on Saturday, October 10.

The man of God, who took to his Twitter page to react to the development, urged the youths to continue to speak and change the warped system that has caused a lot of damages in the country.

Pastor Adeyemi also called on the government and the police to listen to the voice of the people by disbanding the Special Anti-Robbery Squad as a courageous commitment to change.

He tweeted:

"It is totally unacceptable for the police to fire teargas at young citizens attending non-violent #ENDSARS protests. We cannot sustain the idea that the voice of the African youth is not to be heard."
