Hakim Ziyech has reportedly left his native country's camp Morocco to make an early return to Chelsea ahead of his Premier League debut.

The 27-year-old was introduced as a substitute during the Atlas Lions' 3-1 win over Senegal in an international friendly.

The former Ajax star is yet to make his full competitive debut for the west London club after suffering from a knee injury during a pre-season clash with Brighton.

And According to Football London, the midfielder is on his way to rejoin the team instead of playing their second friendly against DR Congo in three days' time.

It is understood that Ziyech’s departure was agreed before the Senegal game likewise returning early back to his base in London.

Ziyech could be in line to feature in the Blues next Premier League clash with Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

He was ruled out of the 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace in the past weekend as Frank Lampard explained the midfielder was getting closer to full fitness.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Kepa Arrizabalaga has insisted that he will continue to fight for his place in Frank Lampard's squad following the arrival of Edouard Mendy.
