Nigerian winger Victor Moses is on the verge of completing a season-long loan move to Russian club Spartak Moscow from Chelsea.

The 29-year old recently returned to Stamford Bridge after his short reign at Inter Milan expired at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Before then, he had spent one year with Turkish giants Fenerbahce where he scored five goals in 20 key games.

However, despite having one year left on his current deal with the Blues, Frank Lampard has made it clear the player is not in his plans for the new season.

The 42-year-old even went as far as not including him in his Champions League squad, and this may equally repeat itself when he submits his Premier League team list.

Although Inter Milan made attempts to re-sign him on loan before the transfer window closed but their efforts failed to materialise.

Meanwhile, Gianlucadimarzio.com reports that the former Super Eagles attacker is expected to undergo medical a few days from now before officially becoming a Spartak Moscow player.

With the transfer window in Russia still open, the Nigerian star still has time to join them and find regular playing time again.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012 and has spent time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United before Fenerbahce and Inter.

Meanwhile, he was won one Premier League, a Europa League, and one FA Cup in the colours of the London club.

Moses was also a part of the Super Eagles squad who won the Africa Cup of Nations title under late Stephen Keshi in 2013.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian winger Victor Moses has been excluded from Chelsea's Champions League squad for the 2020-21 season.

The 29-year-old returned to Stamford Bridge after the expiration of his loan spell at Inter Milan last campaign.
