Neymar has been caught in the middle of a big controversy after he was sent-off during Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 loss to Marseille in a Ligue 1 clash.

No fewer than five stars were sent-off in the game including PSG's Leandro Paredes and Layvin Kurzawa, and Marseille's Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto.

Marseille star Gonzalez who was in the middle of the brawl has recounted what transpired during the incident saying the Brazilian bragging about his £620,000-a-week wages and ridiculed him.

The Marseille defender said: "Neymar told me he won in one day what I earn in a year, and it's true. I told him I was very happy with my salary.

"Neymar's whole game that day was unfortunate, full of provocations."

And the former Barcelona forward also received a two-match ban for hitting Gonzalez after he retaliated claiming the defender racially abused him.

The Brazilian legend made it clear that he is unperturbed about the red card he got claiming that his only regret is not hitting Gonzalez in the face.

"My only regret is not hitting that Gonzalez in the face,'' Neymar stated on his twitter page.

Following an investigation, both players were cleared of making 'discriminatory remarks' in their row.

Despite being cleared, Gonzalez has no plans to patch things up with the Brazilian any-time soon.

He said: "Neymar deserves nothing from me, neither my respect nor anything.
"We had a bad time, not just me, my family and more. If I had said anything to him, it would have appeared on all the cameras."

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age as he won’t stop getting the goals at 35 and now he has scored a total of 30 goals in the 2020 calendar year, a feat no player has reached.
