- Victor Osimhen has been tested negative to Covid-19 according to Napoli
- The club have confirmed that there is no positive result again at their camp
- Osimhen will not face Algeria and Tunisia with the Super Eagles of Nigeria
Napoli who are Italian Serie A giants have confirmed that there is no new positive case of deadly Coronavirus at their club following the postponement of their last game against Juventus.
This latest development means that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been tested negative to the virus amid fears after Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas contracted it.
Due to that situation, Napoli were stopped by the Italian football League body not to travel to Turin for their topflight game against the Old Lady.
The encounter would have given Victor Osimhen the chance to meet and play against Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, a new date will be fixed for the encounter by the League chiefs as Napoli are currently occupying fifth position on the Serie A table.
Also, Victor Osimhen was excused by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) not to come for the coming friendly games against African champions Algeria and Tunisia.
Napoli confirmed below on their official twitter account.
“There are only two swabs being processed among those carried out yesterday. All those processed are negative for COVID-19.''
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen stated emphatically that he is looking forward to the day his club will be facing Cristiano Ronaldo and his Juventus' teammates.
Victor Osimhen made big move to Napoli from Lille in June this year and the Nigerian has been shining in pre-season games for the Italian side.
His impressive performances for Lille made Napoli chiefs to pay massive cash for his signature ahead of the coming League season in Italy.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in great form for Juventus for the past two seasons since he joined from Real Madrid winning the League title twice.
Osimhen explained that playing against the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will be a great achievement for his career.
