Following his utterly snide remark on the #EndSars campaign where he attacked President Muhammadu Buhari, popular Nigerian pop star Ayo Balogun known as Wizkid has come under fire.

It would be recalled that social media was agog on Sunday, October 4, as Nigerians vented their displeasure against the incessant killing, extortion and brutality of the Nigerian police officers who belong to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) unit.

Nigerians also knocked the federal government's treatment of SARS menace with soft gloves and demanded a total end to the unit which has been widely regarded as a threat to youths development in the country.

Contributing to the discussion, Wizkid called President Buhari an "old man" and told him to "do something" on the killing of Nigerian youths by the SARS operatives.

Wizkid's attack was in response to the president's statement wishing Donald Trump a quick recovery after he and his wife, Melana, contracted coronavirus.

The Afrobeat star said:

"Donald Trump is not your business! Old man! Police/Sarz still killing, Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something! Nothing concern u for America! Face your country!"

Displeased by Wizkid's "sour taste" remark, an aide to the president on social media, Lauretta Onochie, replied the artist and described him as a dumb kid.

Onochie, who noted that Wizkid calling Buhari an old man is not the problem, argued that the way and manner in which the singer addressed the president was completely disparaging.

She said:

"It's not disrespectful to call anyone old. Its the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

"He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he's a #DumbkidNotWhizKid. When he grows up, he might learn respect."

The singer, in a Twitter banter, replied Onochie and called her a shameless woman who is armfolding herself while her children "are getting killed."

"A77-year-old man is not young ma. You are a woman and a mother and kids are getting killed by police/sars and this is all you have to say? shame on you! shame on you!!
