Guendouzi joined the North London club in 2018 and has made 82 appearances so far across competitions with one goal and five assists to his credit.

He was a key member of Unai Emery's team but failed to impress Mikel Arteta since his arrival last year.

The club, however, confirmed the Frenchman's departure from the Emirates Stadium for the 2020-21 season on their official website.

"The France Under-21 international has made 82 appearances for us since joining from French side Lorient in summer 2018.
"Matteo started his career at Paris Saint-Germain’s academy before joining Lorient. He went straight into our first-team squad when he joined us, with only three players making more appearances than Matteo in his debut season of 2018/19.

"Everyone at Arsenal wishes Matteo well for the season. The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes."

Legit.ng earlier reported that Arsenal have announced the signing of Ghana international Thomas Partey from Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

The 27-year-old's impressive performances last season for the La Liga side caught the attention of Gunners chiefs who were impressed and made a move for him.

The big Ghanaian played 35 games last season for Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga and scored three goals which helped the club finish in the third position.
