Frank Lampard who is the manager of Chelsea has turned his back against the advice given to him by his former coach Jose Mourinho when they met in the Carabao Cup.
The full time finished 1-1 between Tottenham and Chelsea before Spurs went on to win the encounter 5-4 on penalties.
New Chelsea goalkeeper Mendy was in action for the Blues against Tottenham and produced incredible saves.
Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho exchanges some words on the touchline during the tie although both later played it down.
The 42-year-old who played under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea explained below.
“I don’t think any remarks made on the touchline during the game can be called advice.
“They can probably be wrapped up as advice after a game when you manage to get back in the game and win on penalties, so I don’t think that is the case.
“I would always be happy to not just take advice from fellow managers, but everything around me whether it be my players, staff, people I respect, listen to in football outside football, in life,.
“I think that’s what molds you as a manager so I don’t think the Jose incident was ever advice. It wasn’t that,''.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be facing Crystal Palace in their next Premier League game on Saturday, October 3.
