- Ainsley Maitland-Niles impressed in Arsenal’s Community Shield clash against Liverpool
- The 23-year-old has been linked away from the Emirates stadium
- Reports say the Manchester United are considering a bid for the star
Maitland-Niles could be joining Premier League rivals Manchester United as the Arsenal star is heavily linked with a move to the Old Trafford outfit.
Latest reports have it that a deal for the 23-year-old could be sealed in a matter of days as United have only managed to sign just one player during the transfer window.
The summer window closes on October 5 and the Red Devils have only signed Donny van de Beek, but Maitland-Niles could be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second signing for the period.
It is gathered that the player could be used as a utility player as he plays multiple positions especially the central midfield and at full-back.
Wolverhampton Wanderers made an attempt to sign the player earlier this summer with reports that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was ready to let him go.
The player impressed in the Community Shield clash against Liverpool and now the Gunners boss has reportedly changed his mind and will let him stay.
However, with Arsenal needing more funds to sign their target Houssem Aouar, a good offer for Maitland-Niles will be accepted from Manchester United.
"I am always open to listening to what the player is feeling at every stage of their career," Arteta told Arseblog when discussing Maitland-Niles.
"If there is something that doesn't work then we have to assess it with the player and the club and then find the right decision for both of them."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United have reportedly released the sum of £65million up front as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will make one last attempt to land £90million rated Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford.
The Borussia Dortmund winger had been on the radar of the Red Devils for some time now with reports that the German club is not willing to consider any figure less than £108m valuation for the England winger.
Dailymail are reporting that Manchester United will hope to lure the Bundesliga giants to sell the star for a figure totaling £90million once 'achievable add-ons' are accounted for.
