While winging the pilots, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, the chief of air staff (CAS), at the combined ceremony at NAF Headquarters, said the journey of the pilots had just begun.

Abubakar expressed particular delight that Sanni, who was decorated with her pilot wings back in October 2019, had made history yet again.

The air force boss went on to note that in dealing with security challenges in the country the pilots have continued to add value to the efforts of the service.

According to him, Flying Officer Sanni and her colleagues are now better trained and prepared to be deployed for combat missions in the ongoing counter-insurgency air operations in the North-East and other parts of the country.
