Ansu Fati has said that Lionel Messi's presence in Barcelona has helped him develop as a player at the club.
The wonder kid scored two goals in La Blaugrana's 4-0 win over Villarreal at the Camp Nou to start their 2020-21 campaign on a positive note.
Messi had angered Barca for forcing his best friend Luis Suarez out of the club to Atletico Madrid before the game but it did not matter as Fati stole the show with two exquisite finishes.
The 17-year-old who was not up to two-years-old when Messi made his senior debut for the Catalan giants in 2004 said that the Argentine forward has helped him improve.
Fati quoted by Daily Mail:
"Playing with Messi is a dream I had since I was a child and now I am living it.
"He gives me a lot of advice, he helps me a lot on the pitch and in training, but away from it too, and that makes me very happy."
Fati became the youngest Barcelona player to score a league goal when he made his senior debut last season.
He also became the youngest scorer in the Spanish senior national team and believes there are better days ahead in his career.
"I want to keep improving every day, to continue to learn from my team mates because they are the best around and they are trying to help me every day."
