The student accused the school management of lying to their parents by assuring them of their safety amidst the pandemic.

She tweeted:

"One of the staffs even said that if any of us is infected, that we should not worry that papa is praying. That we should forget COVID-19."

Nigerians took to the comment section of the post to share their thoughts.

A Twitter user with the handle @pharmISA wrote:

"Some universities in Nigeria are glorified secondary schools. So if you are pregnant na house you go go straight."

Another Twitter user with the handle @OmoyeniJaydi wrote:

"Did your parents tell you it was perfect when they went to school? I guess they probably carried concrete. Or sold firewood. You children of these days just ask for too much. Did you try to find out how many ways to do COVID19 test. Now, you will be in trouble for this for sure."
