Yet another interracial celebrity marriage has hit the rocks and this time around it involves Nigerian singer Akinmayokun Awodumila aka May D and his Swedish wife, Carolina Wassmuth.

The singer recently took his fans and followers on social media by surprise after revealing on Twitter that he is single and free again.

In addition to the surprising disclosure, May D said for the past 15 years he has always been tied down in a relationship.

The Ile Ijo crooner said it is time for him to be alone.

May D said:

“I'm single Again and free! For over 15 years I have always been in a relationship I think I need to be alone for some time!”

Earlier in the year, May D had gleefully celebrated the birthday of his wife and mother of his child on social media.

The doting husband dedicated a special birthday post to his wife on his official Instagram page.

Sharing the post, the singer said:

"Y'all help me wish my wife a happy birthday! ❤❤ Love you Bunzz! Not easy to keep up with me for so long!

In a different story about the singer, Legit.ng reported that he made an interesting announcement to fans on his Twitter page.

May D disclosed that he has joined the 30 Billion Gang. He shared a logo of the music label alongside his announcement. Describing the 30BG as his new family, the Gat Me High crooner expressed his excitement at being a part of Davido's crew.
