Reverend Father Jude Onyebadi was reportedly abducted on Saturday, September 26, at his farm on the Iseele-Uku/Issele-Mkpetime Road.

According to Premium Times, the cleric who serves as the priest of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church was said to have been kidnapped along with three other farmworkers.

He was said to have gone to inspect his farm and pay the salary of the farmworkers when the gunmen trailed him to the area and abducted away.

The incident has been confirmed by Charles Uganwan, the spokesperson of the Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku.

However, the kidnappers were reported to have released the three farmworkers around 11pm on Saturday.

It was reported that this is the second time the reverend father has been kidnapped by gunmen.

In another incident, unknown armed men on Friday, August 28 night kidnapped one Pastor Emmanuel Apeh during a church programme and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

The incident happened at Akaajime in Gboko local government area of Benue state.

According to Vanguard, the armed men stormed the venue of a church crusade pretending to be worshippers.

Meanwhile, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted seven people in Kaduna metropolis.

Those kidnapped include five members of a family in Barakallahu, a suburb of Kaduna metropolis.

According to The Nation, Barkallahu is a community neighbouring the National Teachers Institute (NTI), along Kaduna-Zaria road, in Igabi local government area of the State.
