Ansu Fati has been told by Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman that he must improve his game despite the wonderkid scoring two goals during the Catalan’s 4-0 rout of Villarreal.

The Spanish international also won the penalty that led to Lionel Messi's goal from the spot, and after the match Koeman praised the teenager of Guniea-Bissau descent, but suggested that the player must improve his level of concentration.

According to the manager, Fati would become a great player in the near future but he has a questionable concentration level.

"We must highlight the game and performance of Ansu Fati," the Barca boss said, according to the Metro and cited on Soccer Laduma.

"I was complaining a little last week about him not having the maximum level of performance in the pre-season.

"He is only 17 years old, he will have a great future, but he must improve things. Sometimes he lacks a bit of concentration.

"His intensity out wide was immense, he played a great game and we took advantage of his qualities."

The young player has just extended his contract with the Catalan giants for another two years and now he will stay at the Camp Nou side until, at least, 2024 with an astonishing £367m buy-out clause etched in the contract.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Luis Suarez scored two beautiful goals on his debut for Atletico Madrid helping Diego Simeone’s men to a 6-1 thrashing of Granada in their match-day 2 of the La Liga.
