Inter Milan have reportedly concluded plans to make a move for Chelsea midfielder, N'golo Kante before this transfer window closes.
The Italian League giants will offer the Blues two of their key players; Milan Skriniar and Marcelo Brozovic in a swap deal for the Frenchman.
Kante played for Antonio Conte during his two-year reign at Stamford Bridge - winning one Premier League and a FA Cup title in the process.
However, the 29-year-old has lost his spot in the London team since the arrival of club legend Frank Lampard who prefers to work with younger players in his team.
He brought in Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and a few other players to strengthen his squad, meaning he will have to offload those who are surplus to requirement.
It is however unsure if that is the category the former Leicester City man falls as he is not one of the manager's favourites as reported by thesportreview.com citing 90min.
The former England captain has spent about £200m already this summer, he is still looking to bring in a quality midfielder before he could be satisfied.
Kante is one of the most paid stars at the Bridge ( £250,000 a week) since the exit of Eden Hazard and the London club wants to cut down on their wages.
Reports claim Inter are planning to give Chelsea one centre-half (Skriniar) and a midfielder (Brozovic) in exchange for Kante. Though, the Blues might not agree to this arrangement as their attention is on West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Although Chelsea have to offload the France international and Jorginho before they could be allowed to sign the England midfielder.
Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester City in a deal valued around £30 million in 2016 and has been a key part of the squad until Lampard's arrival in 2019.
He was instrumental to their Europa League triumph under Maurizio Sarri in 2018 before the Italian joined Juventus.
Legit.ng earlier reported that N'Golo Kante has been linked with a surprise move to Man United before the close of the summer transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been a huge admirer of the French midfielder but would have to face competition from Serie A side Inter Milan.
According to Mirror, the Red Devils have made contact with the France international's advisors ahead of a potential deal.
