Manchester United have reportedly released the sum of £65million up front as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will make one last attempt to land £90million rated Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford.
The Borussia Dortmund winger had been on the radar of the Red Devils for some time now with reports that the German club is not willing to consider any figure less than £108m valuation for the England winger.
Dailymail are reporting that Manchester United will hope to lure the Bundesliga giants to sell the star for a figure totaling £90million once 'achievable add-ons' are accounted for.
According to Dortmund’s head of football Sebastian Kehl, the club will not sell Sancho no matter the amount tabled.
He told Ruhr Nachrichten: "He (Jadon Sancho) is our player, and he will stay.
"It was an important statement from the club because we have a certain responsibility. Without Jadon this team is weaker."
The Premier League club were earlier pressured to complete the signing of Sancho by August 10 or they should just forget the transfer deal.
Dortmund demanded £108m for the 20-year-old winger, but United are hoping they could land the player for a lesser fee as negotiations continue.
The Bundesliga giants were concerned that the transfer speculation of the player may eventually have a negative impact on the club as they are also keen on finding a replacement.
Sancho, is expected to sign a five-year deal in the red half of Manchester worth a lucrative £140,000-a-week. That is then likely to increase to £200,000-a-week over the course of his deal.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Alex Telles has become a surprise transfer target for Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to struggle in the transfer window which closes on October 5.
United have only completed one signing this summer with the addition of just Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek so far.
With less than two weeks to the end of summer transfer window, the Red Devils have a very limited time to do business in the transfer market.
