Manchester United have reportedly entered talks to lure Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik to Old Trafford this summer.
Unlike their rivals, United have been inactive during the ongoing transfer window.
The side has only signed Donny van de Beek who arrived the club from Ajax for £40million.
Red Devils' failure to bolster their squad has seen them struggle this season, suffering a 3-1 embarrassing defeat in their season opener against Crystal Palace.
However, the side did pick themselves up on Saturday, September 26, securing a 3-2 hard-fought win over Brighton at Amex Stadium.

The Manchester club is now said to have made an approach to sign Milik from the Serie A before the close of the transfer window.
Metro UK citing Rai Sports report United are keen to rival Tottenham for the services of the Napoli star.
Milik was initially linked with a potential move to Roma to replace Edin Dzeko who was on the verge of moving to Juventus.
But Dzeko's transfer fell through, throwing Milik's future with the Naples in limbo.
The Poland international's current deal with Napoli is due to expire at the end of the season and the Italian club are thought to be ready to cash in on him.
Milik who is valued at £23 million has scored 48 goals in 122 appearances for Napoli.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer embattled player Jesse Lingard a new deal at Old Trafford so as for him to have more value in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has refused to get his good form at Manchester United and has also failed to get regular playing time under manager Ole Solskjaer.
Jesse Lingard's current contract at Manchester United will expire at the end of next summer, but the Red Devils' gaffer want him to stay.
According to the report, the Old Trafford landlords are looking to extend his contract by a further 12 months, to make sure his market value of £25 million is kept.
