BBNaija 2020: Laycon polls in 60% votes, other finalists don't come close

- Laycon won the season five of BBNaija show with a big margin as he gathered 60% votes

- As showed by the vote statistics, no other finalists came close with the first runner-up, Dorathy, getting 21.65%

- Massive reactions have trailed the wide margin as people celebrated his win on social media

As the 2020 edition of BBNaija came to a close, with Laycon sweeping it all with a massive win, a chart has shown how people voted.

Just after the winner was called, the chart came up on the screen. Laycon coasted to victory with 60%, giving the other four finalists a wide gap.

He was followed by Dorathy with 21.85%. Nengi polled 15.03% while Neo and Vee at the rock bottom scored 1.94% and 1.18% votes respectively.

While posting the statistics on Twitter, DSTV Nigeria described Laycon's win as "consistency at its finest!"

The poll results have generated a lot of reactions on social media as his fans and a lot of Nigerians had a lot to say.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nollywood actress, Ifunanya Ukpabia, left jaws hanging following her recent post in which she claimed to have dated Laycon for 5 years before leaving him to marry someone else.

In the post which she titled 'An open confession, letter to Laycon my ex lover', the actress claimed she struggled with the BBNaija finalist back when he was pursuing his music career and had supported him severally.

However, things were not looking up for him and she had to eventually leave him to marry someone else.

The actress expressed happiness to see him on the show and has silently supported him by voting for him.

Ifunanya who said she could help him manage his newfound fame, stated that she wanted him to know that she'll always love him and his family. She added that her husband is in full support of her 'undying love' for Laycon who has a strong fanbase.
