The senator representing Oyo North senatorial district in the National Assembly, Abdulfatai Buhari has made known his intention to support the reported presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu.
According to PM News, Buhari during an interview with a journalist, Edmund Obilo, said he will back Tinubu to be the next president of Nigeria the moment the APC chieftain declares his interest for the job.
When asked if Tinubu was running for president, Buhari said:
“If he wants to be President, I will support him. I will campaign for him.”
The lawmaker also dismissed the suggestion that Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state was working against Tinubu’s interest.
Regarding the crisis rocking the APC in Oyo state, Buhari said the disagreement was caused by the loss of the governorship seat to the PDP.
He, however, noted that the Oyo APC is working towards settling the disagreement.
Legit.ng recalls that while there have been numerous reports claiming Bola Tinubu has a presidential ambition, the APC chieftain has not yet openly admitted or denied having such ambition.
