President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of chief executive officers for agencies under the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
The renewal was announced on Friday, September 25, by the president through a statement by his media aides on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
Legit.ng gathers that agencies are the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Petroleum Equalization Fund (PEF), and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
The renewal of appointment means Bello Aliyu Gusau will continue as the executive secretary of PTDF; Ahmed Bobboi as executive secretary/chief executive officer of PEF.
Engineer Simbi Wabote will also continue as the executive secretary of the NCDMB.
The decision was taken by the president after the recommendation of the state minister for petroleum, Timipre Sylva, The Nation reports.
Meanwhile, Prof Abba Isa Tijani was appointed as the director-general of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM).
Tijani's appointment as the new NCMM DG was approved by President Buhari who also made the renowned academician the agency's chief executive.
A professor of museology and anthropology, Tijani is the former University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)'s head of the Department of Fine Arts. He was also a former coordinating head of the department of creative arts.
In related news, Legit.ng reported that President Buhari on Tuesday, August 11, appointed Adamu Adaji as the director-general of the National Boundary Commission (NBC).
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha, Adaji's appointment took effect from Friday, August 7.
NBC's head of information, Ovuakporie Efe, disclosed that the appointment will last a duration of four years.
