Luis Suarez has finally explained how his best friend Lionel Messi felt when he heard about his decision to leave Barcelona claiming that the Argentine was surprised.
After spending six years at Barcelona, things fell apart when the club suffered an embarrassing defeat in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
The loss against Bayern Munich also made the club to fire Setien and replace him with Ronald Koeman who has been mandated to bring titles to the Nou Camp.
When the Dutchman resumed as the coach of Barcelona, he told Luis Suarez to find another club and this made the former Liverpool star angry.
Suarez initially wanted to join Juventus from Barcelona, but the issue of him getting an Italian passport prevented the move to Turin.
On Wednesday, September 24, Luis Suarez went to Barcelona training to say goodbye to his teammates most especially his close pal, Lionel Messi.
According to the report on UK Mirror, Luis Suarez claimed that Lionel Messi felt strange about him joining one of Barcelona's biggest rivals.
"Leo felt strange because I’m going to a direct rival, but nothing will change our relationship.
"I have already faced Leo with the national team so this will not change our relationship. Everyone knows about the relationship we have,'' the Uruguayan star explained.
