Odion Ighalo has stated clearly that Manchester United's win over lower League side Luton Town in the Carabao Cup will boost the morale of all his teammates ahead of the next game
Ole Solskjaer and his wards were brilliant on Tuesday night, September 22, sending Luton Town out of the League Cup in which Odion Ighalo started the game.
The encounter against Luton Town was Odion Ighalo's first start this season for Manchester United in all competitions.
Manchester United's boss, Ole Solskjaer has been using Frenchman Anthony Martial up front this season and Marcus Rashford being forced to play at the left wing.
Odion Ighalo who played for 78 minutes against Luton explained that the encounter was a tough one stressing that it will help him and his teammates prepare well for the next tie.
“It was a very tough game. We knew, from the start, that we were coming to play a tough side. We are happy we are going through to the next round and that is the most important thing.
“We've not started the league very well, but we've won and I think it's a boost for this weekend's game against Brighton.
''We'll go there and try to win and start the Premier League again,'' Odion Ighalo told Manchester United website.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Odion Ighalo stated emphatically that he is ready to give his best whenever the Red Devils' boss call him into the squad.
Things have not been rosy for Odion Ighalo in the Premier League since he got to Old Trafford as Ole Solskjaer has not given him enough playing time.
In fact, Odion Ighalo has not started any Premier League tie for Manchester United and he has also not played more than 20 minutes.
United manager, Ole Solskjaer has been keeping fate in Anthony Martial thereby putting Odion Ighalo on the bench.
Manchester United suffered an embarrassing home defeat in their first game of the season in the 2020/21 term and Ighalo came on with 10 minutes to the end of the encounter.
