Premier League campaigners Manchester United have reportedly slapped £18m price-tag on Chris Smalling who is wanted by two Italian giants Roma and Inter Milan.
The England international has not been having it rosy at Manchester United since Ole Solskjaer became the handler of the Old Trafford landlords.
Chris Smalling played for Roma on loan last season from Manchester United and the Italian side are keen to resign him this summer.
But the maximum amount offered so far is just £13m, falling flat of Manchester United’s latest valuation.
Roma do not want to go above that after already shoring up their defence with Hellas Verona loanee Marash Kumbulla.
And that could open the door for ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to add yet another Premier League man to his ranks at Inter Milan.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer embattled player Jesse Lingard a new deal at Old Trafford so as for him to have more value in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has refused to get his good form at Manchester United and has also failed to get regular playing time under manager Ole Solskjaer.
Jesse Lingard's current contract at Manchester United will expire at the end of next summer, but the Red Devils' gaffer want him to stay.
Lingard has been eyed by a number of Premier League clubs including Everton, West Ham and even Tottenham.
Also, Legit.ng reported that Ousmane Dembele who plays for Spanish side Barcelona reportedly emerged as summer transfer target for Premier League side Manchester United who want to bolster their team.
Despite not winning a title last season in their campaign in all competitions, Donny Beek remains the only player Manchester United signed.
The Red Devils who qualified for this term's Champions League have not been superb this season in the Premier League losing against Crystal Palace.
Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, but the German side are not ready to sell the player this summer.
