The Australian high commissioner to Ghana, Gregory Andrews, was spotted at the dirty Laboma beach in Accra, he joined forces with different people to bring beauty to the beach again.

In the video, the official was seen raking and removing dirt with his hands in the rain. The clean-up exercise was one of the activities lined up to mark September 19 as World Clean Up Day 2020.

Andrews was reported to have joined the Ghana Wildlife Society, along with over 100 volunteers and other partner sanitation agencies to embark on the exercise.

The diplomat stated in an interview after the rigorous clean-up exercise that he joined in because of his passion for the environment.

He also stated that the Australian government was totally committed to preserving nature, which was why the manufacturing and use of most plastic products were banned.

Gregory won the hearts of many Ghanaians with his humble lifestyle, which included getting neat haircuts at local barbershops, patronizing made-in-Ghana goods such as African print clothes and more.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that some young kids cleaned the route that led to a subway station with their father in Bronx. The kids showed that one did not have to wait for the government to keep the environment clean.

They cleared the dirt as their father gave instructions and explained why it was necessary for them to put on their face masks as well.
