Uruguay international Luis Suarez was reduced to tears while leaving Barcelona training ground on Wednesday, September 23.
The 33-year-old is on the verge of joining rival club Atletico Madrid after Ronald Koeman told him he was no longer needed at the Camp Nou.
Reports claim the former Liverpool forward agreed to cut down his wages before joining Diego Simeone's side after a move to Juventus collapsed this window.
Sport Bible reveals that the attacker is Barcelona's third all-time highest goals scorer with 198 goals and 109 assists in 283 appearances across competitions.
He also won several titles with the Catalans after joining them from Liverpool in a deal around £64.98 million six years ago - with four La Liga and one Champions League among others.
The publication reports that the attacker whose reign at the Camp Nou originally expires in the summer of 2021 was spotted wiping away tears as he left the club's training facility.
Despite spending most part of last season on the sidelines due to injury, the former Reds star still managed to score 16 goals in 28 La Liga games.
He was however angered after Koeman told him he had no future with him in a phone conversation that lasted just 60 seconds as reported by Spanish publication SPORT.
The Dutchman told the former Ajax star that he is surplus to requirements after which he was informed to find a new club.
Juventus came calling for a few weeks but the deal collapsed as Atletico look to secure the huge signing on a two-year deal.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Georginio Wijnaldum could still leave Liverpool this transfer window after he was said to have rejected a chance to extend his reign at Anfield.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked to join the Catalans after the arrival of Ronald Koeman at the club.
Although his current deal with the Reds will expire in June 2021, he could part ways with the Merseyside outfit before the transfer market closes.
